I am 35 years old and have always grown up with a dog in the house. After moving out of the house, I bought my first love, Lily. She was a bichon-pomeranian and I scrounged up $300 to move in with me during my college days. She lived through it all with me. Moved from apartment to apartment, and eventually she welcomed each of our 3 babies home. She left us after nearly turning 15 just a few months ago. She was the heart of our family and even in her old age, diapers, medications, and extra care, we loved every minute of having her. There is a void in our household and although we are not ready for a new dog of our own, the kids are ready for an occasional friend to love and take care of. Our children are 13, 6 and 4. They have only known their lives with a dog and are so loving and responsible. We are looking to watch over weekends or long weekends, so the kiddos can play a big role in the care and attention this visiting pup will deserve. We're a pretty normal, messy, exciting, and fun family and I'm positive your pup would feel welcomed and at home during their visit!
