Pet care experience

My name is Amy and I have loved and owned dogs since I was a young girl. I live in West Chester, Ohio with my husband and 3 children (ages 20, 18 and 15). After 20 years as a stay-at-home mom, I wanted to get back into the workforce, and thought being a dog care provider would be a fun way to do that. We have a 2 recent additions to our family: our pandemic puppies Evie and Remy. They are both Pembroke Welsh Corgis and love having other dogs around as we have eased back into dog sitting. We have a large, safe area for the dogs indoors and a fenced yard with plenty of space to run outdoors. We are looking forward to your dog's stay!

Amazing care... we were apprehensive using Rover for our first time, but Amy did an outstanding job of caring for our “Romy”. Would highly recommend!

Our dog, Victor has been a frequent visitor of Amy's family for several years. We feel very comfortable leaving him with her and her family and we know that he gets plenty of attention. One of the things we feel the most comfortable about is the way she has her home set up. The dogs do not have access to the front door, she has a gate that keeps them in the rear of the home near the back door exit to a sun porch, then to the fenced yard. She has a great backyard and plenty of room inside her home as well. Although she will host more than one dog at a time and is often booked, you would not know it when you enter her home. We would highly recommend Amy and her family!

I try to keep your dog's routine as close to your routine as possible. I stick to your feeding schedule with only food and treats that you provide. The dogs are gated and kept to our "great room" (kitchen/living room) so that they can't wander around and get into items that might injure them or make them sick. Any dogs are welcome on our sofa or we have several crates here if you crate (or you are welcome to bring your own). Dogs are only crated at your request. Our yard is fenced and inspected regularly for any potential escape routes.

Information Amy J. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog has any health issues. Please bring a copy of your updated health records from your vet. All dogs MUST be up to date on all vaccinations including Bordatella. I would also like to know if your dog is an escape artist, a barker, a chewer, or has any anxieties (ie, thunder, doorbells, etc.). They are not deal-breakers, I just want to be aware ahead of time. Finally, while I understand that no specific breed is inherently dangerous, I do have to look out for the safety of my family and especially my children. Because of this, I will not dog sit for any Pit Bulls, Pit Bull mixes, Dobermans, Chows or Rottweilers at this time. I apologize if this offends any dog owners, but I have had negative experiences with these breeds in the past, and therefore have made this decision for myself, my family, and other dogs in my home.

A typical day

Your dog will be a part of our family. He/she will have 5 people to give them attention throughout the day. If they like to go on car rides, we will take them with us (never left in a car alone). We will take them for walks around our quiet neighborhood at no additional charge to you. They will sleep in our great room indoors with air-conditioning. We will follow any directions on feeding provided by the owner, and always make sure there is plenty of water available. On hot days we may take them outside in the sprinkler or a kiddie pool.
