Pet care experience
I'm a student and teacher looking to spend time caring for nice doggies! I am only taking requests for repeat clients for the upcoming Fall quarter. I will available for sittings again starting mid Dec. and will update my availability calendar accordingly. I adore animals and have had dogs and cats my entire life. I was the proud mother of an English Mastiff/Newfoundland for a wonderful 12 years. I have missed having a dog of my own and see this as a way to get to spend time with dogs without committing to having one of my own. I am patient and mellow, usually connecting quite easily with animals I have the pleasure of coming across. *If you request multiple sitters for a booking, it's helpful for us if you let us know if you've gone with someone else so we can archive the request. Thanks!

Amy was great and responsive!
Amy did a great job watching our dog Jenny. She was very communicative in the weeks before she watched Jenny while we tried to explain our Jenny's many requirements. Everything went smoothly when she stayed at our house with our dog over the course of a long weekend. We would definitely have Amy watch our Jenny again.
Amy did drop-ins for our puppy for 4 days and she was wonderful! She was so attentive, kind and treated our puppy so well. Loved all the pictures and detailed descriptions of each drop-in. I would highly recommend her!!
We have been using Amy as our regular dog walker for a bit. Our dog loves her and she is great about communicating with us. So glad we found Amy!

I have experience with various breeds and sizes including chihuahua, beagle, hound, lab, dachshund, mastiff, Newfoundland. As long as the dog doesn't pull or have dog aggression, I'll walk any size or breed. I'd prefer more mellow personalities but some rambunctiousness is understandable when dog's need to move and play so as long as that subsides, I'm comfortable with some of that.
A typical day
I'm willing to do neighborhood or park walks, playing catch or with other toys. I like to give attention to dogs' personalities and interests and find it fascinating to learn their personalities and what they find engaging (it's the teacher in me, probably). Cuddles and pets are a given!
