Experienced Dog Raiser
Pet care experience
Here are a few things about me that may be nice to know! -I have 4 years of training experience as a puppy raiser for Guide Dogs for the Blind. I grew up with both cats and dogs and find great joy in the company of a pet! - I've also raised two dogs for a PTSD therapy dog program, Battle Buddies. - Two of our personal pets (Both former trainees from Guide Dogs that we adopted) became successful and certified therapy dogs. I have about 10 years of experience with in home care and house sitting for close friends on a long term basis (up to a month at a time). I look forward to meeting new dogs, or stopping by to say hello and take care of any cats as well. I have a passion for caring for and making all pets feel loved and appreciated. The power of an animal in a person's life is truly amazing. -I am comfortable with senior pets and administering certain types of medications -I have 4-5 years of experience caring for livestock and farms (cows, foul, livestock guardian dogs)
Reviews
We have found some great pet sitters here on Rover but Amy is the best. We were out of town for week and she provided excellent care and flawless communication. She went above and beyond in so many ways. We will be utilizing her amazing services whenever we are out of town from here on out.
Amy did a phenomenal job pet sitting. She sent us picture and video updates and a daily summary for each day. She was polite and courteous and left our home cleaner than it was when we left. I can tell by the pictures/ videos that our pets really liked Amy and warmed up to her quickly (which isn’t always the case).
Everything was absolutely perfect!
Amy did a great job with our kitties and her prompt and continuous communications were most appreciated.

Safety, trust & environment
I really appreciate honesty and follow through when it comes to making commitments with other people. I like to know that my pets are safe when I leave them in someone else's care, so I make sure to provide that same peace of mind to others. I'm happy to follow unique care instructions for your pet or answer any questions you have for me. I don't feed pets food/treats that are not approved by the owner first, and treat client's homes and spaces with respect. All dogs will be on leash h in my care, unless prior consent is given by the owner to let them off leash.
Information Amy H. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if there is anything I should know about your pet's needs in advance! ( ie.Do they get tired quickly on walks? Any issues with separation anxiety? Any anxiety around other dogs?) Also let me know if there are any activities/treats that your dog must NOT have or participate in
A typical day
I'm always willing to take dogs out for exercise, whether it be down the street, on a trail, or play time in the back yard. Let me know what kinds of activities your pets enjoy the most, or a special walking route .
