Pet care experience
Growing up, I had a Siberian Husky since he was 8 weeks old. I cared for him until he sadly passed away in 2021, at the age of 14. Through raising my dog, I learned a tremendous amount about pet safety, which I believe is one of the most important things. I also learned what dogs enjoy and what dogs need. I have also taken care of family or friends' pets throughout my life when they were on vacation. In addition, I recently fostered a 7 month old pittie mix for 4 months until she found her forever family! With all this experience, I would love to help your pet to always feel at home.
Reviews
Amy is the best! My 10 yr old shih tzu stayed with her for 3 days and she always kept me updated with photos so I was never worried during my trip. I definitely feel comfortable with having her watch over my dog again in the future :)
My puppy had a great time spending the day with Amy. Prior to my booking we discussed my puppies needs and what my expectations are. Amy sent plenty of updates and pictures, asked questions and arrived on time. Couldn’t ask for better. I absolutely would recommend her to anyone.
Amy did a really great job taking care of my German shepherd Lana. Lana can be a handful sometimes since she's a big, young dog, but Amy handled her with the utmost respect and care as if Lana was her own. I would definitely refer her to any pet parents out there in need of an empathetic, kind, and responsible pet caregiver.

Safety, trust & environment
Caring for a pet means being cautious and aware at all times. Paying attention is key. I understand dogs must stay away from specific human foods (grapes, chocolate, spicy foods, etc.), so I usually just stick to feeding dogs their own treats/foods or whatever their owners prefer! I am conscientious of what is in the dog's reach around the house and on walks to ensure they do not hurt themselves or ingest anything that is dangerous. On walks, I'm alert of surroundings (people, other dogs, critters, cars). Phones will NOT be in use on walks unless there is an emergency or if it is to send you photos. Besides that, I hope to be a comforting, warm presence for your pet.

A typical day
Your pet will get a lot of love and affection from me. I can provide outdoor playtime or walks if they want (I live near the 606 trail), so they can appreciate all the nature and smells. I can also play with them indoors with their toys to provide a fun time for your pet anywhere!
