Pet care experience
Ever since I was little, animals have been in my life. When I was in high school and college, I would dogsit for family members and friends of family. I started my first job at a doggy daycare in Pensacola in 2019. I learned so much there, and when I moved to Gainesville, I joined another amazing doggy daycare. Then, in September of 2020, I joined the local Humane Society and fell in love with caring for homeless dogs and helping them find forever homes! I love my job so much, and even though I spend every day working with dogs, I find them to be a source of endless entertainment and companionship.

I understand the difficulties of managing reactive dogs, having one of my own in addition to working with many dogs to overcome behavioral challenges. I have had hands on experience working with qualified trainers, and am knowledgeable and confident in the responsible use of training aids such as gentle leaders, prong collars, and am comfortable with fitting and using muzzles as necessary. Let me know if your dog struggles with leash reactivity, needs to walk with any special equipment (such as a gentle leader or muzzle), or has any other behaviors that may affect their walk. Also let me know if your pup has any dietary restrictions so I can know what treats are okay to provide! I also love to know a little bit about your dog's temperament and personality before meeting them. What's their favorite toy, what games do they like to play, what treats do they love the most? Tell me all about your dog and what you love about them and I'll keep them as happy as can be while you're away!
A typical day
I love taking dogs on fun adventures! I take my own dogs out on hikes on nature trails and to the dog park. If your dog has a specific place he loves to play, let me know and we can set up an excursion for him! I am also passionate about dog enrichment, and think it is an amazing and vital way to exercise our canine companions' minds. Whether it's frozen kongs, lick mats, or snuffle mats, I am happy to provide these extra enrichment options upon request. I love at home activities - if it's a rainy day, we can have just as much fun playing tug or a game of "find it!" On outdoor walks, I prioritize giving your best friend as much freedom to explore and sniff as possible while also ensuring their safety.

Availability
I work full time, but I am available all day most weekends, and on Wednesdays after 12pm. Depending on your location, I am available to stop in for care and/or walking in the early morning and in the evening after 7pm.
