Safety, trust & environment

With over a decade of veterinary experience, I’m comfortable administering medications (including insulin, oral meds, and subcutaneous fluids) and caring for senior pets with special needs as well as non-special needs babies. I’m also happy to check in on kitties — scooping litter, giving fresh food and water, and sharing some snuggles if they’re up for it. I’m also totally comfortable with reptiles and small pets like guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, ferrets, and more — everyone deserves quality care while you’re away!

Information Amy D. would like to know about your pet

As a vet tech, I’m very attuned to animal behavior and body language, and I can usually spot subtle changes as they happen. That said, I always appreciate a heads-up about your pet’s personality, sensitivities, or preferences — especially if they’re nervous, don’t like being touched in certain areas, or have quirks around food, toys, or strangers. I previously had a very opinionated little lady at home who just liked her space, so I fully respect that some pets just want calm, quiet companionship.

A typical day

I love starting the day with a beach walk or jog (always leashed, of course), followed by a latte stop — and a puppuccino for your pup! Afterward, we’ll unwind with some snuggles on the couch or floor. If fetch is their thing, we’ll definitely get some playtime in — either in the yard or on a quiet stretch of sand. And if your dog enjoys the ocean, a bath might be part of the fun too, just to rinse off the salt and sand. That said, everything is tailored to your pet’s personality and comfort level. If they’d prefer a calm companion over an active day, I’m just as happy to be a quiet, reassuring presence.

Pet care experience

I’m a licensed Veterinary Technician in both Florida and Georgia with over 10 years of hands-on experience in veterinary medicine, including emergency and surgical care. I’ve worked closely with nervous pet parents during some of their most stressful moments, so I understand just how important it is to trust the person caring for your animal. Whether your pet is young and playful, older and needs medication, or just a little quirky — I’ve likely seen it all and know exactly how to handle it with calm, compassionate care. From nail trims and special diets to post-op recovery and giving meds, I’m fully equipped to provide safe, reliable, and loving support while you’re away. I’m here to make your life easier and your pet’s life happier. Let’s chat — I’d love to learn more about your furry friend!

Amy was amazing! I am so glad we found her thru Rover! She was consistent and gave our dogs lots of attention while we traveled for the holidays. We will definitely use her in the future! She made our trip less stressful just knowing they were in good hands. Thanks Amy :)
