We returned from our trip with our house intact and both our dogs in good shape. Amy was pretty communicative during the duration of her stay. The main reason for my review is that early on into her stay, she forgot one of my two dogs outside OVERNIGHT. Neither of my dogs have ever spent the night outside alone. When confronted, Amy suggested that my dog had snuck out. I asked why she didn't check for him because the way this was brought to my attention was because my neighbors contacted me on social media to ask to get my dog to stop barking because he was barking for HOURS trying to get her to notice that he is outside. He was outside so long that he hopped the fence with the intention of getting her attention through the front half of our house. While I am relieved that my dog is uninjured and unharmed, because had a moose been in the neighborhood this review would have gone very differently. The second reason for my review is Amy disconnected one of my security cameras which I use to monitor my dogs, this was another indicator that the dog that was left outside wasn't inside because until she unplugged my camera I could hear him barking at the wee hours of the morning and my other dog searching for him. I do wish that Amy had spent more time with my dogs as they are not used to being left alone for such long periods of time, but I understand that she works and wasn't able to stop by to let them out until the evening. I wouldn't hire Amy again because after leaving my dog outside it caused me unnecessary anxiety over the health and safety of my dogs when my trip was supposed to be relaxing. Additionally, she never really took ownership of how bad the situation really was. In my 20+ years of owning dogs and having been a former Rover sitter myself, I have NEVER forgotten about a dog, let alone left one outside overnight.

Amy did a great job! She was responsive and took excellent care of our two kitties. We would definitely book her again :)
