Daycare on the Malvern Hills

Pet care experience

I have walked and looked after other people's dogs for four years now (via another website). This included spaniels, a pug and a staffie cross and I now own my own spaniel. I have been doing a lot of games-based dog training as well with the K9 training institute. I am primarily offering daycare, but may be able to offer boarding for dogs who have been for daycare and we know fit in well with the household.

Amy took great care of my dog and I have no hesitation in recommending her to care of your pet.

Amy and Paul have looked after Isla our family dog on numerous occasions since she was a puppy and treated her like her own. They are caring, reliable and Isla loves spending time there. I would highly recommend them. Jacqui

Safety, trust & environment

Our garden has fenced areas for playing, but we never leave dogs unsupervised. We have a spare dog seatbelt and car seat for journeys out and a spare crate if necessary for the house. If you are not 100% sure that your dog will recall, but would like them to have some sense of freedom, I do have a long lead.

Home

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 1 dog
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 2-4 hours

Information Amy C. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know what your dog enjoys, what activities will keep them calm and what things you do to recall them. Also, are they allowed to have treats? I use a variety of foods for training my own dog, so I would like to know if your dog is allowed some too. Typically we use kibble, fresh cooked chicken, cooked sausage and cheese. (If your dog requires a full meal, please provide their own food.)

A typical day

Depending on how long your dog stays, they will get one or two walks on the hills. We have plenty of balls, frisbees and tug toys if they like games. For the rest of the time, they can mooch around the house. We have a variety of dog beds and we do let them on the sofa. We will go out for regular toilet breaks and little games in the garden.

My husband and I both work at home several days a week so there is usually one of us at home with our English Springer Spaniel. Your pet is welcome to roam around most of the house, laze in the lounge or sit in my office or my husband's office. Doors to the bathroom and toilet will be shut so dogs can't get into trouble. My spaniel will also be around for company although he tends to ignore other dogs. We have a large hilly garden with fenced off areas for supervised play, but since we live on the hills, we will go out on the hills for exercise twice a day. Depending on the preferences of your dog we can go on sniffy trails through the woodland or walks and games in wide open spaces on the hills or on the common. I also know some good places if they enjoy a good splash around.
