Pet care experience
Working at an animal shelter has given me extensive experience with dogs & cats of all ages, breeds and temperaments. I can check in midday or walk your pup while you’re at work, so they won’t have to spend all day alone! I can also have small-medium dogs at my home for the day or overnight, or can stay at your home if your dog would be more comfortable in their own bed. I have many great references, including my own three rescue Chihuahuas! They do great with other dogs but we will always do a meet and greet with your dog before having them over to my house—just to make sure everyone gets along. I have a special gift with small breed dogs who tend to be anxious. I will always treat your pets like one of my own. My main goal is to improve & enrich the lives of pets and their people! *Also available for cat sitting, my home or yours; I have a separate room just for cats!*

Amy did an OUTSTANDING job caring for my two elderly cats while I was away. They are notoriously skittish and have lots of anxiety. Amy was able to administer medicines effectively, provide lots of love, and check in with them daily. She provided me updates and went above and beyond! It was so nice to return home and know they were taken care of.
Our little guy Oddie said that staying with Amy was great! We too were pleased with her care of our hairy child. We will definitely ask Amy to watch Oddie again in the future.
Amy is an awesome pet sitter! My dog can be a little difficult and I trust Amy completely to read her body language and make sure she’s comfortable. She was always easy to reach when I asked for an update and even sent me pictures so I could be sure that my pup was having a great time. I know that my dog is being treated like part of the family while I’m away instead of being in a noisy kennel and that means the world to me. I have and will continue to recommend her to people looking for an amazing pet sitter!

Some things I like to find out about a dog beforehand are: if they have any reactivity to other dogs, prey drive, off leash training, treat motivation, allergies or medical conditions. I want to make sure your dog is safe and happy while in my care. I am able to provide medications to dogs and cats.
A typical day
I can walk your dog in your neighborhood or at their favorite park or beach. My favorites include Memorial Park, Lake Padden, Boulevard Park and Whatcom Creek Trails. If your dog is staying over at my house, they will be treated like one of my own! Lots of love, walks and couch surfing will be provided! Cats want you to think they can take care of themselves, but don’t take the risk of leaving them alone overnight. Cats boarded at my home will be given a separate room with a nice, big window to keep them entertained. If I come to visit your cat at your home I will throw in a free nail trim!
