Your best friend deserves the best!

Pet care experience

I understand your dog is family and so I treat them as honored guests in my home, just like I would if it were you. Each dog is unique and I understand that each needs to be handled based on their own personality. I have been trained in dog handling and work diligently not only to keep your pet safe and happy but to have them walk away a more educated pup! I currently have one goofy labrador, a medium sized pound rescue, and a small schnauzer and they look forward to making new friends! I have always been a dog lover, but adopting my lab educated me on training and working with animals who had serious behavioral issues. It was through this that I became interested in sharing what I leaned with other pet owners and working with pets that have issues. I also have a diabetic pup in my household, so I am very familiar with home testing and giving insulin shots for those that might need diabetic care.

I usually take my little Tuffy with me when I travel. However, I couldn't on this trip. I called a friend and she recommended Amy. At first I was hesitant--I had never left my baby with a pet sitter before. But, I figured at least he was not going to be kept in a cage at a kennel all week...and maybe walked once a day, and I hated the thought of him being left alone all night in a cage in the dark. So, I gave Amy a try. I met Amy and her fur baby, Oliver. I seriously believe Tuffy and Oliver became bffs at first sight. They were instant friends. Amy was very kind spoken and Oliver was very well trained. I felt very comfortable leaving my baby with her, when I left on my trip. I could tell she was legit about her feelings about animals. I brought his little bed with him, his food (he is on a special diet), water bowl, and leash. I probably didn't even have to bring all that, but I did. Amy kept a journal for me---when Tuffy ate, when they went to bed for the night, where he slept, etc. ---she walked him several times each day. In addition, he had play time outside in her back yard, each day. I liked that she documented his stay for me. She also sent me a picture via text of my baby. I now know that I can leave Tuffy when I am out of town---with someone who can be his other mom, when I'm not there. I would highly recommend using Amy. Also, make sure you meet Oliver!!!

I know it’s hard to leave your family member in someone else’s care. I treat your loved one like one of my own. I am very prompt and on time and you can depend on me for timely updates.

Information Amy B. would like to know about your pet

Is your dog food aggressive? Are they crate trained? What is your normal routine? Any special medications? What is their activity level? These are just some of the questions I will ask regarding your pet.

A typical day

We will walk at least once in the morning and again in the afternoon if weather permits (those summer showers sometime keep us indoors). In addition, I will work with your BFF on basic commands and keep you update with their progress. Most everyone leaves here with sit, stay, lay down and paw :)
