Pet care experience
I am a dog-lover from birth. I grew up with Golden Retrievers in my home and frequently pet sit for neighbors and friends. I now have my own dog- a sweet, but very shy hound mix. I'm looking to offer dog-walking and drop-in services. I'm a responsible 30-something middle school history teacher and I have free time in the summer and in the afternoons and evenings. Over the last two years I have walked a variety of dogs on my own (outside of Rover), everything from 7 lb. yorkie-poos to mutts to Great Danes! I enjoy taking the dogs in my care on walks and playing with them. In many cases, I walked sibling dogs and am accustomed to handling more than one dog at a time. I am comfortable feeding pets and administering oral medication, if needed. While your dog is with me, I will treat him/her like my own. Please note: As a teacher, I cannot commit to weekday morning visits during the school year.

When dogs in my care are on a walk with me I make sure the pet is comfortable and pay attention to body language, outside environment, etc. My own dog is nervous on walks and doesn't like a lot of noise, so I'm very practiced in providing walks for anxious pups.

A typical day
If possible, I like to walk dogs in my care in quiet neighborhoods or parks. I allow ample time for sniffs and exploration. Before I leave, I make sure to provide water, treats, and lots of pets. Your dog will have a great experience!

I'm a teacher and I'm available in the afternoons and evenings to walk or visit with your pup or cat! I'm unable to do morning visits during weekdays while school is in session.
