I am a certified veterinary technician, and although I currently do not work in the field, I maintain my passion for animal welfare, supporting the human / animal bond and promoting responsible pet ownership. I also volunteer as a working board member for an organization dedicated to building an animal shelter and providing education on the ethical treatment of animals. My volunteer duties include, but are not limited to: Volunteer Coordinator, Reaching Out program coordinator - which includes scheduling and operating product drives, and distributing donated pet food to families in need, Microsoft administrator, new board member onboarding and various other administrative duties. Playing with dogs, and even cats, is a dream job for me and I believe that the positive impact of exercise and love on their health is very important.
