I am a librarian who has a daytime job and is a dog and cat sitter by night and weekends! I’m a native of New York State where I grew up with and took care of lots of different sizes and breeds of dogs. From mini schnauzers, Great Danes, German shepherds, puppies and old doggies, I've cared for them all. My family also had cats, birds, lizards, and a prairie dog(?!), so I was raised to love the individuality of each animal. I have dog-sat and cat-sat for friends and family periodically over the last 15 years, which has included overnights, walks, consistent communication with owners, and cute pet portraits. (I am a visual content librarian as well as a photographer, so I am particularly fond of sharing pet photos.) I lived with a middle-aged mid-sized dog for 2 years who I helped become less anxious about socializing with other dogs after he spent his first 5 years of life as a stray. I currently own a very moody cat who is very wary of humans; my road to a trusting and loving relationship with him has been long but worth it. I would love the opportunity to take long walks with your dog and get to know their unique personality, as well as build a trusting friendship with them and you!
