Pet care experience
I'm a 54 year old at-home mom to a HS senior. I have had dogs for 20+ years, but with my oldest one having passed, I want to share my love of pets and provide those who want a trustworthy & genuine human to care for their fur kids while they are away. I fostered 11 dogs over 5 years before moving here, and I had many cats as well and guinea pigs and ferrets, so you can rest assured that your pet is in good hands. I have helped a pregnant hound birth 6 puppies, fostered a litter of 4 terrier pups (8 wks old), rescued a very timid young dog who didn't know what a house or a loving family was, and fostered 3 senior small breeds. I puppysat for an active pit mix weekly for around 6 month, and I have done dog watching a few times previously for local folks, so I can provide references. I'm easy going, friendly, and have flexibility in my schedule.

That is so awesome that Daisy has warmed up to you enough that she does that she does not do that to everyone. She’s extremely shy. Bella definitely makes up for her. Thank you for taking such great care of my babies.
Amy was kind and patient with my "special needs" dog who requires extra attention. She kept me updated and sent pictures. We were able to relax and enjoy our day knowing our dogs were in good hands. We will definitely be having her watch them again.

I prefer to care for pets in their own home simply for their own comfort. I always used at-home pet care for my dogs for this reason. I would consider an olde, calmer breed for care in my home if necessary, but my husband works from home, so it would be on an individual assessment basis only.
Information Amy B. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know your dog's temperament, age, and the things that make he/she happy or displeased. Knowing the breed would be helpful simply because being active in rescue has taught me that some breeds are more energetic, stubborn, less active, etc. There is no breed discrimination: I love all kinds of dogs!
A typical day
I love to take dogs on walks, play with their toys inside or outside, and I have definitely been asked, "Who are you talking to?" when talking to my own dogs. What can I say? They are part of the family. Whatever places you would take your dogs or toys you like to play with your dogs is what I have found is best for them.

I am an at-home mom to an 18yr old and am not employed otherwise, so I have plenty of time to devote to your fur family members. Caring for your pets is my pleasure!
