Pet care experience

USE CODE AMORIB48889 FOR $20 OFF YOUR FIRST BOOKING! I have owned, fostered, and boarded animals my entire life- from dogs to horses. I have extensive experience with high strung breeds like shepherds, labs, huskies, and malinois. In addition, senior dogs with disabilities are a specialty of mine. As much as I enjoy the chaos of a bunch of young and fun breeds, I also love running a little old folks home. I also have experience administering medications both orally and through injections. I currently own a 10 year old husky/lab mix who is the most friendly and outgoing guy. My home has a large fenced back yard and a special dog room for my boy and his friends. Due to having such an energetic and sensory seeking dog, I have plenty of puzzles, buttons, and chew toys to keep them busy! 🐶 Tips are always appreciated. Lightly used pet supplies are just as useful. We always need more bowls, kennels, beds, and urine/odor cleaner. I have an Amazon wishlist of supplies we need if anyone would rather that! Just ask.

We have used Amori twice now and every single time was amazing, not only for us as dog parents but for our little pup as well! Our pup never wants to leave and is always so joyful when we drop him off. She is so responsive and is amazing at checking in and sending photos which I appreciate. I highly recommend her service and will continue to trust and use her in the future.

Amori was absolutely great! My dog Rory was a rescue and she did an amazing job taking care of him and knew exactly what to do with his tendencies. She also kept me updated with how he was doing throughout the day. 100% would recommend.

Great communication and decision making. Everything you’d want in somewhere to temporarily abandon your dog imo.

Very kind and communicative. I could tell from the photos that my fur baby felt so loved with her. Will definitely board with again!

Safety, trust & environment

I am a very involved dog momma and I try to always tend to their needs. I allow my dog to be a dog and go outside when he wants, for as long as he wants. I am very lax about him snuggling with me in my bed or on my couch. That being said, I do teach manners and boundaries for his own safety. Expect your dog to be treated just like my own! Lots of love, fun, and attention.

***PLEASE be transparent about whether your dog has a history of aggression. Tell me if your dog guards resources, has ever bitten another dog or human, spent minimal time around other dogs, and/or has never been around multiple dogs at a time.*** ***If I’m told your dog is socialized with no history of aggression, ANY bites resulting in injury will be reported to animal control. Yes, even small dogs.*** ***If your dog prefers to be alone, this is fine. I can arrange to keep your dog separated. We have plenty of rooms with doors, spaces for kennels, and a dog room with a doggie door for their comfort.*** ***Accidents happen, especially when a dog is stressed, and this is totally fine. However, persistent marking/urinating and defecating inside my home will not be welcome. Dogs who are not potty trained cannot board here.***

A typical day

A typical day always starts with supervised outside time. During this time, I let the dogs tell me when they have had enough. If the weather is nice, I’ve spent upwards of three hours outside with them! Then, we have our meals in enrichment activities (puzzles, snuffle mats, etc. ). By this point, they are usually ready to nap. When they’re awake, we start the whole process over again!

I run an art business out of my home (I specialize in pet portraits!), so I’m never too distracted from the pups. However, I am a student so I will be out of the house for 3 hours MWF and 6 hours T&Th. I’m home all day on weekends unless I have to teach an art class outside of the house (about 3 hours). I also live with my boyfriend and he helps care for the pups when needed. If there are any times I can’t be home, they will still be taken care of!
