I was raised on a farm so from a young age I learned about animal needs/personalities/ language. I am very empathetic and in tune with dogs energies so I can pick up on needs/emotions quite well and I also strive to make every pet feel safe and at home while staying with me. I also follow positive reinforcement training and tactics and believe in offering a very calm and loving space and energy for your dog. My home is a very spacious 2 bedroom main floor of a large character home and there's lots of room for your doggie to move around and find different spots to nap.They will have their pick of mutiple dog beds of different sizes, cozy couch, and a gorgeous sunroom which all doggies seem to love. I also have a large shaded back deck that I have a long leash attached and they are welcome to hang out there (with me of course) if they want some shaded quiet outdoor time. I will never leave your dog off-leash in an outdoor environment, unless it's thoroughly previously discussed with the parents. My dog Bodhi is a mellow 5 year old mini labra doodle who gets all with all dogs as he is more on the submissive side and keeps to himself for the most part. He is happy to have doggie company and is very used to sharing his space with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. He is excellent at making all dogs feel safe and at home here. I just ask that all dogs be non-aggressive and up to date on routine preventive care so I can keep Bodhi safe and healthy as well.

I would love to know what home environment your dog thrives in, any food or toy aggression I have to be cautious of, the degree that your dog is housetrained/socialized, goals that you're working on together ( commands/leash-pulling ...),how your dog is on and off leash, energy levels, medical issues/special needs and any unique behaviours/ quirks I need to know of ! Let me know what their routine at home is like and what they enjoy To make them feel more at home. ** if your dog has any type of seperation anxiety, please let me know right away when you request. Depending on the severity, I may not be able to accommodate as it’s very distracting to my work/everyday life. If you’re planning on leaving them with me for boarding, and they have seperation anxiety, I may recommend building up familiarity with me with a few daycare days beforehand. It will be less stressful in your dog and me. Please note dogs with seperation anxiety that are left with a complete stranger really struggle and barely ever actually settle. It’s imperative they first have only a couple hours with me, and build up from there before they are dropped off for a full daycare day or boarding. **
A typical day
My dog and I love getting out and having fun rain or shine and for the active dogs we can go on long walks or hikes, and weather permiting -go play at the beach/lake! For calmer or elderly/injured dogs, we will have a more relaxed time and can take it slower and go for gentle quiet walks around the neighborhood or a nearby park. There will also be ample time allotted for nap/snuggles/Netflix! I try my best to keep the routine of the dog as close as how it is when they're at home with you.

I work for myself online and so my schedule is very flexible and I am able to cater to your dogs needs (exercise, cuddles,etc) 24/7. I am available anytime of day and any day of the week. As a parent of a dog with seperation anxiety, your dog will not be left alone while in my care.
