I have a deep love for furry animals. I grew up with cats and raised my own golden retriever until he passed away from cancer at the age of 12. Currently, I'm the proud owner of three senior cats and 'a little too' enthusiastic 11-month-old German Shepherd pup. I have experience administering injections and oral medications, including diabetic injections for a cat. I am comfortable doing that if your dog or cat requires extra care. I understand how anxious it can be to leave your pets in someone else's care, but I can assure you that your pets will be in good hands with me. Amelia was so good to our cat Cheeto. He loves people and gets stressed/depressed on his own, so I was nervous leaving him for a long weekend. Amelia was prompt, reliable, and very communicative while we were away. She looked after his basic needs and then spent lots of time playing and keeping his spirits up. I pay attention carefully to your pet's needs and will make sure your instructions are followed. I believe in mimicking a routine you established with your dog so they can feel at ease knowing the routine is still in place even though their owner is not home. This helps relieve some anxiety. I would play with toys, take them on walks, do some enrichment activity, or do whatever you usually do with your dog.

A typical day
I cater to different dogs’ energy. That may mean providing your chew toys to puppies, playing with them, and taking them out on potty breaks. If you have a dog who likes to fetch or go on walks, I will do that! If you have a senior dog who just enjoys company, I’ll sit next to them and give back scratches.

Availability
I work at the office during weekdays (I work from home on Tuesdays) and arrive home around 5 PM. I would take them on a walk as soon as I get home. I am available all weekend to accommodate your pup's schedule. I would love to take your pup with me to dog parks/social gatherings/events (with precautions and keeping an eye on other dogs), but that would, of course, depend on your preference and comfort level.
