Before I proceed I would like to point out that i had a lot of very good sitter experiences at Rover. Maybe therefore I was a bit too trusting, I booked with Amelia for a six day boarding at her home for my two pups. She proposed to sit the dogs at my home because her place was too small. She would be available full time as she is student on summer break. We had a meet and greet at my home and I explained her everything. Also that the dogs should not be left alone over night. After four days animal control came to my home because the dogs were barking all nights and the neighbors complained. Animal control found the dogs roaming the neighborhood because the yard gate was open. Amelia's explanation was that it was too hot in my house and she didn't know how to operate the air. That was a lame excuse as I explained it to her at the meet and greet and I was always just a phone call away. Day and night. Also why would she leave the two dogs alone in a house that was too hot? She did provide food and water. She may have walked the dogs. I hope so. I consider her treatment of the dogs borderline to animal cruelty. No negative ratings available. So I will additionally file a complaint directly to rover.com. I would like to repeat though: BEFORE THIS EXPERIENCE I ONLY HAD EXCELLENT SITTERS AND ALWAYS LEFT A FIVE STAR REVIEW.

Amelia was fantastic! She was able to stay with our 4 year old French Bulldog all weekend and she sent me updates a few times a day which gave us such peace of mind while we were away. I highly recommend!
