I have many years of caring for dogs of all shapes, sizes, ages, and personalities. I genuinely care about the wellbeing of all animals, and I will look after your dogs and take care of them as if they are my own. I’ll play with, feed, walk, comfort, cuddle with, and love your pet(s) for the entire time that I am with them (and I’ll probably even miss them when I leave). Your trust in me is extremely important. I’ll make sure to communicate effectively and often, ensuring you know that your furry family member is safe, happy, and healthy.

Amelia was professional and fantastic with our pets! To start, I have 3 larger dogs and a young cat. That’s quite a handful from the get-go. All 3 of my dogs have very different personalities: a very alpha, strong willed GS, a Velcro, attention-loving pit mix, and a very anxious, reclusive-around-strangers husky cattle dog mix. So you can see how finding a sitter may be difficult. Because of their personalities, our preference was a sitter who stayed at our home, versus chancing 4 furry monsters to their home. Amelia was ready and willing from the very start! We did a meet and greet where I gave an overwhelming amount of information and she took it all with keen interest and grace. Amelia gave us daily updates and not just did the bare minimum…she truly hung out with our pets and gave them the attention that I could’ve only hoped for. Amelia was respectful of our home and followed our feeding regime well (meals are different for each pet which can be quite confusing). Amelia took it in stride and allowed them to behave as they normally do, with little to no change to their routine. Even our very anxious husky mix adjusted quickly to her. I am incredibly appreciative for Amelia’s care of our animals during our trip and would 100% work with her again!
Amelia did an excellent job of watching my German Shepherd while I was away! She followed the instructions I gave and sent updates with photos each day.
Amelia watched our two dogs over the 4th of July holiday. She did a fantastic job. Amelia sent us updates, as well as pictures. We will definitely book her again in the future.

My roommate has a large dog and a small cat (pictured looking out the window together) so I am unable to host pets in my home. While in your residence, I would treat your space with respect and care, maintaining your privacy while prioritizing your animal babies. I previously worked as an in-home personal care attendant for a disabled man for two years, so I have plenty of experience working in a home that's not my own. Ensuring that you are comfortable with my presence in your space is very important to me.

I would like to know their feeding & potty habits, like when I should take them out and how often to feed them, as well as how much food they should receive. I would also like to know how old and how big they are, and any certain personality traits I may need to be aware of.
A typical day
I can walk your dog(s) through your neighborhood, play with them in your yard or home, lounge with them on the couch for awhile, take them to a local park, and/or go for a fun drive. My neighborhood is very dog friendly, and I am more than willing to have them ride in my car if needed. Whatever activities your dog prefers, I can accommodate!

Availability
I work full-time, but my schedule is fairly flexible. I usually work on-site Monday through Thursday from 9am until 5pm, but I can leave to take lunch breaks if necessary. I telework on Fridays, so am free to spend time with your pets at your home or stop in for a walk, play time, and some food or water.
