Pet care experience
Hello! I have taken care of a plethera of animals throughout my life. I have owned many small mammals, many dogs, and some cats, I also keep fresh water fish. I have a small private dog training buisness where I work with difficult dogs - so do not fret if you have a furry friend who isn't a cuddle bug. I have also been taught how to properly administer pills to small mammals, cats, and dogs. Thank you for your consoderation :)

Amelia took great care of Ilo, who has some behavioural quirks of his own. She sent us daily updates and we could see that he was very happy under her care. She was house sitting for several days, and the house was left in impeccable state. We really recommend her!
Amelia did a drop-in visit to walk Ilo. We had a get-together the evening before when she took time to get to know Ilo, me, and my place. She is very kind and respectful, honest, and funny. She sent the picture as promised and was generally very responsive. It is also very clear that she loves animals very much and knows what is good for them (that includes respect of their personal space, which I liked very much). Cheers!
Amelia is a true animal person. She loves and feels for animals deeply - and she really understands them. She brings an entire childhood, teenage-hood, and now adult-hood of caring for and training animals of all types to her training and petsitting work. (As a child, she and her mother fostered hospice dogs and also took in dogs with behavioral issues.) She has worked with our pup on several issues including leash walking and fear reactivity with male guests. She is patient and flexible and very passionate about her work. She has also dog sit for us in our home. Our dog has benefited tremendously from his work with Amelia, and we recommend her highly!
Amelia is my daughter and has grown up around animals. We care for a variety of pets from chickens to quail, cats to fish. She has always been curious about their care and sought to learn how to better their lives. Amelia truly loves animals and is great with them.

I pride myself on husbandy. I do a lot of research on the most recent finds for husbandry regaurding my pets. My animals are fully covered with pet insurance and they have a primary vet they visit yearly. On the daily I care for my 3 rats and my fish tank. When I am back home, I help care for quail, a cat, hermitcrabs, two large fish tanks, and occasionally an elderly foster dog.

Please let me know if your dog has any reactivity when outside, or in the home. Please also let me know if your furry friend(s) have any little quirks I should know about before entering your home (they dart out the door, jump up etc.).
A typical day
On a typical day I wake up around seven and open the blinds. Then its meal time for them and coffee time for me. If morning walks are on the agenda, thats the next step. Any fun games like fetch or puzzle feeders are also fun for me :) I try to mimic their life with their family - so any fun things you do with them, I would love to do too.

Availability
I attend Providence College, so my schedule is very open. I am able to do many of my tasks electronically. I enjoy being outside - even when it is cold. I currently care for 3 rats and a small fish tank that require daily care. It takes less than a half hour total every morning , after which I can return to the clients home.
