Pet care experience
I have been around pets my entire life. From a young age I was trusted to take care of pets from my aunts, uncles and neighbors. I've had a lot of practice looking after animals in my adult life, being responsible for taking care of my aunt's dogs and cat for months at a time while she was out of town. I also have a foster pup that is currently my responsibility, and she, as well as the rescue we foster through rely on me and trust me to take the best care of Ziggy. I have experience giving animals medicine, providing and working on basic training with puppies, as well as taking care of senior dogs and cats.

Ambrose watched my senior (15 year old) medium dog while I was away for a week. They were amazing! I didn’t have to worry at all, I got updates whenever I asked and they were on top of sending me cute pictures whenever they got some. They are one of the few people I truly trust to watch my old dog. Ambrose offers constant care which is what my old girl requires, I did not have to stress or worry at all and Lucy didn’t want to come home she was so spoiled! I highly recommend Ambrose to anyone looking for a pet sitter!

I understand that all animals are different and require different things based on things like their temperament, their environment and the level of attachment they have to their pet parents, so I am a big believer in having a conversation with each individual to figure out the best avenue to take when caring for their fur babies. I tend to spend time enriching my pets, be it doing tricks, playing fetch or just giving them words of affirmation. I believe in stern communication when an animal is acting up and have experience calming rambunctious pets or breaking up scuffles in a safe way.

A typical day
Generally, after a short walk around the neighborhood, I feed your pets and try to spend some time giving them love and attention before taking them on a longer walk. Of course, things vary based on pet parent preferences and if they have any special instructions for their special baby.

Availability
I work part time, so I will have plenty of time to care for your cat or dog on weekends and during the day. Overnights available anytime on weekends and after midnight on weekdays. Drop ins also available.
