Pet care experience
Hello! I have been a professional pet photographer for almost a decade and while working on my photography degree in Chicago, I became a certified dog trainer. We moved home to the Upper Penninsula of Michigan in 2009 to be near family and start one of our own. My photography business feels complete when I pair it with things like dog training and pet sitting- so I can continue real life experiences that help me during photography sessions. In Chicago I also worked as a Pet Sitter and Dog Walker and it totally transformed me. I love interacting with owners and discovering their love for their pets. Being trusted with something so important feels great. As a special way to show I care, I can help enforce certain behavioral trainings when I come. I have training experience with hundreds of dogs of all sizes and breeds. I take extra precaution when caring for your dog (or cat!) because I know how important they are to you, and I will treat them as my own. A tiny bit about me- I’ve been married since 2005 and we have three children (ages 8, 6, & 4) and have a 90lb Great Dane/Pitbull mix named Lucy. Previous to Lucy we’ve had a Labradoodle named Nala and two cats, Cow and Rip. I am also pregnant with our fourth baby, due end of June, but am happy to keep active and healthy during this pregnancy.

We have the privilege of knowing Amberly and having her care for our dogs over the years. She has always been a natural with them...caring and fun. She was great with the puppies, as well as our weak, elderly dog. She also helped train them and groom them. She can tell what they need just by watching their actions. Amberly never hesitated to take the dogs for walks or throw the balls to them or just sit and snuggle them. I trust her 100% with our beloved pets.
Amberly is incredible with my dog! I've had her come to my house many times while I was away to let my girl out and she would always play with her and send me cute pictures and videos of the fun they were having! I knew that she was being well taken care of because of Amberly's knowledge and background with dogs. I will continue to have her help me out when I need it because she treats my dog as I do!

I’d like to know about any physically sensitive areas or health issues (like sore ears or an area they don’t like touched). I’d also prefer to know if they are a bite risk. I can handle touchy dogs but need to be prepared. No breed preferences, I love them all!
A typical day
This will all be breed and dog specific. Some dogs like long walks and some prefer short ones with strenuous play. I’m open to finding out what your dog likes and doing just that!
