I grew up with dogs and cats ever since I was a little girl. To me an animal is what makes a house a home. My grandparents own a huge property out of town and we had 8 dogs and 2 barn cats. I also have owned 3 cats myself as an adult and have helped my friends take care of their dogs for many years. I believe animals, especially dogs are just as sensitive and loving as us and they need attention and exercise just as much as we do and I think it’s Therapuetic to be able to provide those things for them.
