Pet care experience
With the current shelter crisis we are taking a break from pet sitting to focus on fostering to help prevent the euthanasia of healthy treatable animals. Please consider adopting your next pet from a shelter or rescue. As a pet parent myself I know how important it is to have a trusted pet sitter so you can truly relax while you're away, knowing your pets are in good hands. I have had small dogs my whole life and I'm experienced with caring for larger dogs, cats, and rabbits of all ages through fostering and volunteering. I'm experienced with giving oral medications, eye medications, and subcutaneous fluids. While I don't have experience with injectable medications yet, I am happy to learn!

We very recently moved across the country and with that we lost all of our pup sitters. We both recently retired so we usually take her with us, but not everywhere! We found out about Rover.com through a friend who also had used Ambers services many times. She graciously met us at a local park twice helping us get through the anxiety of leaving our 1 yr old mini Aussiedoodle. Amber was so patient with us. We decided to try a doggy daycare day and it went wonderfully ! Amber sent us multiple photos and message’s throughout the day reassuring us that all was well! We will definitely be asking her to watch our pup again soon! Thank you Amber for your patience and loving other people’s “babies” ☺️

We live in a house will a small fenced in yard. Your pet will get short potty breaks throughout the day (in addition to walks), but will never be in the yard unattended. Your pet is welcome anywhere in the house and on furniture.

My goal is to keep your pets safe, healthy, and happy while you're away. Please let me know if your dog has any allergies, if they are not friendly with other animals, or if they are destructive or eat/chew things they shouldn't.
A typical day
When your dog is staying with me, we'll go on walks around the neighborhood and we might visit a park for a long walk on the weekends if you're ok with us taking them for a short car ride. Your dog can hang out next to me while I work and they're welcome on the couch & bed. We want your pets to feel loved and comfortable in our home!

My boyfriend and I both work from our home so your pet will get plenty of attention and cuddles throughout the day. As long as your pet enjoys exercise, they'll get a long walk in the morning and evening with shorter walks & potty breaks throughout the day. If your dog is on a particular walking or feeding schedule I am flexible and will keep them on the schedule they're used to.
