RED ROOF HILLS

Pet care experience

Location is everything. We are located 5 miles from the highway, on top of a hill on a dirt road and far away from traffic and distractions. For the dog who is less inclined for big mountain excursions, they have full access to 2700 feet of living space and a medium fenced in backyard, all to themselves while the rest of us are gallivanting for the afternoon. There's an indoor ball pit, a backyard doggy pool in warmer weather and lots of beds and furniture to relax on. For the athletic gregarious adventure seekers, there's over 3 hours of private mountain trails right from the living room door. Dogs hike off leash and play and explore with friends and burn tons of excited energy. Inclusive Dog Vacation Activity Daycare & Pet Airbnb on 14 acres of land. Leaving your beloved fur family with a stranger in a new environment should not be taken lightly and owners should inquire with their own recommended checklist, concerns and expectations, to ensure their pet is sitter-prepared and heading into the best-fit atmosphere. My setting: I'm not licensed, insured or bonded, I use ecollsrs/bark collars on beep/vibrate mode, hike off-leash in remote areas often without service (GPS collars highly encouraged) in a group setting, in all weather conditions and I do NOT use seat-belts for the dogs during travel. Stays and participation is at the dog owners own risk and dogs owner is liable for their dogs behaviors and actions. My recommended checklist: 1) well-trained dogs who can predictably respond to commands from a stranger. 2) active dogs who are familiar with long adventurous hikes in the wild and encounters with other hikers, dogs, bikers, skiers, hunters, fishermen, horses, wildlife, bad weather, etc. 3) gregarious dogs who know how to be a dog friend. 4) a dog who's role reflects a member-of-the-family. IF YOUR DOG IS ANY OF THE FOLLOWING, PLEASE USE CAUTION BEFORE BOOKING: 1) Anxious. 2) Service/emotional support/operation/property pet. 3) untrained to follow commands without fail. 4)unfamiliar with off-leash river/trail/mountain hiking in a group setting. 5)anti-social. I can not accept bookings from dogs who have a history of sending another dog, animal or human to vet or hospital unless they have gone through the appropriate training to deal with their aggressive reactions. A dogs actions and behavior should reflect their owners investment, preparation and training for being separated from their owner and trusted to respond predictably and appropriately. Do not neglect your pet by placing them in care in the wrong environment for their needs. Do your research, ASK questions of concern, disclose known history of concern and be accountable for your pet. I will always love and entertain a pet I am hosting and make every effort to keep them safe, comfortable and happy but I am not a dog trainer, I'm a stranger!!! There is always risk. I can not always control a contumacious dog nor can I run faster than a dog who wonders off, especially if I'm already working with other dogs. In case of app emergency please refer to A. Piirainen of Bellevue on all social media accounts. I run a super active doggy daycare that supports socializing & exercise & we are prominently outside exploring. I am attentive and affectionate towards my fluffy clients & patient as they learn important skills when it comes to sharing space at home, in the Wag Wagon & the planet. I respect fellow hikers and bikers, pedestrians and other dogs to the best of my abilities. I encourage dogs have GPS collars and vacillate sharing ecollars for dogs who are still contumacious at times. I do NOT promote the use of the 'shock' feature unless there is a safety concern & emergency; including harassment of wildlife & horses. I leave every public area in better condition than when arrived & pick up extra poop & litter.

We left our two dogs with Amber for the weekend and they had the best time! They came home tired and happy! They had lots of room to play and hike with other dogs. Amber was great with our one dog that is a bit anxious too. We really appreciated the photo updates and will definitely be booking more weekend care with her!

Highly recommended. She hikes with the dogs a couple of times a day, and my dad came back smiling.

Amber gave our dog the best care and attention. She went above and beyond to get to know her and make her feel safe in her home. Amber is amazing.

Our home is quiet, unless someone is pulling into the driveway, then there's a little extra zeal & alacrity in the air. It's just me & my son, who has an impressive sense of maturity acumen. Meals can be provided twice a day for an additional $10/day (I vacillate between Orgin, Go, Nula & Stella & Chewys kibble). Stella & Chewys Freeze-dried Biscuits are provided complimentary as treats. Breakfast in the morning, field-trips during the day and dinner before bed. It's roomy and secure and far away from high traffic neighborhoods & highways. During our field-trips, I am vigilant and engaged but provide plenty of space for dogs to enjoy their outing with pals. Your dog will say all you need to know about their experience: he will ride home happy, fulfilled, a bit wiped out from adventures & friends and grateful.

Information Amber P. would like to know about your pet

Are they wearing a GPS collar? Familiarity with an ecollar? Does your dog eat "food" they find during an outing? Does she jump on strangers or their vehicles? Does he steal picnic food? Does your dog do better on or off a leash? Any habit of running away? What words is he familiar with? What about your dogs' personality do you want me to be aware of? Make your own nutritional dog food & spare your dog of chronic disease and illness. Raw organs (bake, boil or sautéed when first introducing & slowly ween off the heat). Eventually going raw provides a more potent meal of vitamins & minerals. I like liver (only use in moderation, as a dog can overdose on vitamin A that can accumulate in their system). I split a single liver with my two German shepherds about every 3-4 days. Heart, kidney & whole fish are great choices in between the powerful liver. Rice cooked with coconut oil and pumpkin puree, baked yams, zucchini, carrots, etc are good fillers in a loaf. I also use mashed ripe banana and boiled egg with shells incorporated. My 11 year old with a brain tumor, who experienced hundreds of seizures daily lived without medication until he was nearly 15. My 8 year old who had anal fistula never had another outbreak and appeared cured, without medication. She lived until she was almost 11 but moved out when she was 10 and resumed a low quality kibble diet, after my separation and passed away from a ruptured tumor on her spleen. The change of diet added years to my dogs who were active and healthy until there last days.

A typical day

Wake up & business as usual in the backyard, followed by breakfast with friends. Shortly thereafter we are loading up the Wag Wagon for a car-ride to pick-up Doggy Daycare clients and eventually find ourselves tackling mountains and trails all around Bellevue, Hailey & Ketchum. Generally we are moving our bodies 3-6 hours a day, 7 days a week in all weather conditions, outside the daycare. Once strolls wrap up, treats are provided in the Wag Wagon & a nice tired drop-off period takes some doggies home. We arrive back at "Bandit Planet " around 6pm for dinner & a second wind of romping with all our friends, on site. Slowly but surely, heads rest on couches & dog beds & everyone tucks in for a restful nights sleep.

Open 24/7! Bandit Planet! This hyperactive daycare is prominently outdoors between normal business hours. After breakfast everyone leaves for the day for mountain climbing, river swimming & trail strolling adventures, up until supper time. We'll also do daycare pickups/dropoffs during normal business hours, 7 days a week!!!!! After dinner, dogs usually have a second wind and romp around the house & play with each other and toys for another hour or so before settling in for the rest of the evening. If you have a senior or less active dog who can be trusted to stay on the property without an attendant & use a fenced backyard as needed, I can offer significant discounts but can not usually accommodate pickups/dropoffs for these clients.
