Hi! I am a local teacher who is a lifelong animal lover, rescue volunteer, and foster for local animal rescues. I have years of experience volunteering as the volunteer coordinator for a local animal rescue and fostering cats and dogs in my home getting them ready for adoption. I currently volunteer weekly at Eden Animal Haven. I am experienced in handling and walking dogs (even crazy ones lol), working with them on leash training, basic commands and obedience training, working with adopters on cat and dog behavior, and taking care of pets with health issues. I have deep compassion and care for animals. Your pet will be in the very best hands, and I will love them and care for them as if they are my own. I am 43 and married, with 6 cats. I would love to love on and take care of your furry family members!

Amber is the best!! My five cats took to her quickly, even my Adam who suffers from some sort of PTSD and is afraid of everything and most everyone. She had him playing with her after just a couple of days. It warmed my heart to know my cats were so well taken care of. My home was as clean as the day I left. I highly recommend her and will definitely use her again and again.
Amber was fantastic watching our 2 dogs. She brought them treats and sent pictures and consistent updates while we were away. I could tell she really enjoyed spending time with them. Will definitely be using her in the future!
Amber has a huge heart for all animals but particularly dogs. She loves them unconditionally and cares for them with incredible attention to every detail. She cares more about their comfort than her own. I have had Amber pet sit for my dogs for fifteen years. She is absolutely the best.
I met Amber while working with a rescue. It quickly became clear to me that she is one of the most compassionate individuals that I have met. Amber organized a group of volunteers to make sure the dogs in rescue were getting walked on a regular basis and then started organizing all the adoption events. She truly cares for each animal at the rescue as if they were her own. She has worked with every breed of dog from a Pit bull to a Chihuahua, and is comfortable with them all. She has worked with trainers to help dogs become more adoptable and that has given her a set of tools to help make sure the dogs are under control to keep not only herself and others safe, but to make sure the dog she is caring for is safe. Anyone would be lucky to have her take care of their pet. That fur baby will be cared for as if it were her own. She is truly a beautiful soul.

I will care for your sweet baby just the same as I would for my own pets. I will pamper them and spoil them rotten. If I am house sitting for your dog(s) I will provide 3 visits per day while you are away. If I am house sitting for your cat(s) I will provide 2 visits per day. I will make sure their bowls are clean and they have fresh water each time I visit. I will follow the feeding schedule you provide and will give them extra love, playtime, and attention. I usually stay for at least an hour each visit. I will send you lots of updates and pictures of your babies. If I am boarding your cat(s) in my home while you are away, they will get pampered and spoiled rotten while you are away. I live in a quiet and peaceful home in a beautiful neighborhood in Springfield. Your sweet babies will have their very own secure private room with lots of love, pets, attention, and play time. They will be kept separate from my resident kitties and will have a big window to look outside and watch the birds and squirrels in my yard. They will have lots of choices of comfy beds to sleep on, scratchers, and toys to play with. I will send daily updates, pictures and videos of your kitties and am always available by text or phone if needed. I will love them as my own and provide them with clean water bowls, fresh water twice daily, their eating times as close to when you feed them as possible, litter boxes cleaned twice daily, freshly washed bedding, their favorite treats, lots of love and playtime, and a safe, loving home until you return.

Availability
I am available for house sitting, dog walking, boarding, and drop in visits during the school year and summertime. I am happy to house sit (while staying in my own home and will provide your dog or cat with 3 visits per day). I also offer drop in visits and dog walking. I am available for boarding starting June 1st 2023. I am happy to board up to 4 cats/kittens from the same family. I am typically home all day during the summertime and during the school year I work during the day and home after 4pm.
