I’m currently looking to go back to school, growing my expertise as a pet walker and sitter, and taking care of my own pets. I’ll have the free time and consistent schedule to check in and provide care for local pets as well.

Safety trust and environment are a must when it comes to pet care. Environmentally I have my eyes peeled for hazards that could harm or cause illness in an animal, and remove those things to where they can’t be a problem. In building trust, I start every interaction with pet psychology in mind. I let them approach me with all of their senses first. Once they become interested in getting to know me, I can continue to show them I’m a safe person through gentle and secure actions on my part like walking carefully and taking softly.

Let me know if your pet has any special needs or behaviors that I can account for so I can come prepared to offer them the best care I can give. This includes but is not limited to: Typical vs abnormal bathroom habits, sleeping habits, mobility, eating habits and behavioral habits/general disposition. Medical or physical conditions, medications or supplements, and behavior triggers. Any precautions I should take regarding weather conditions like heat, cold, rain or snow.
A typical day
Stimulating your pet physically and mentally is the most fun part of my job. Depending on what your individual pet is receptive to, I love to include some jogging in outdoor walks and slow down to check out all the smells in their neighborhood, or play with their favorite toy at their house. Practice some basic commands like “sit” and “paw” including giving them plenty of praise, pets, and a treat or two (if left by owner).

[PSA 1st-2nd week of May - limited moderate and no high energy bookings due to medical] Hello! I have years of pet care experience under my belt. Throughout my childhood I was able to grow my love and knowledge of many animals. I had cats dogs and small mammals like hamsters and bunnies growing up I got to help care for and learn about. During my teen years I helped family friends and neighbors with their pets including cats, dogs and even goats and chickens. With a solid foundation in feeding, walking, grooming, medicating, and playing with animals, I look forward to meeting and helping out many more pets throughout my twenties and beyond.

Amber has been great with weekly walks for our large but nervous dog. She has been patient and let him warm up at his own pace with lots of feedback as to how he’s doing from day to day. I would highly recommend her for any of your pet care needs.
Chewie had a great experience with Amber. Amber was prompt, responsive, knowledgeable and most importantly, Chewie was almost immediately comfortable walking with her.
The dogs were so happy to have Amber stay overnight with them while their humans were away. Amber took plenty of pictures and videos so the pups knew they were loved! Will definitely use Amber in the future.
