Home from home at The Groves Farm
Pet care experience
We have always had dogs at home and I have looked after other people's dogs for many years. We live on a beautiful smallholding with 18 acres of our own land bordered by a the Escley Brook and we are surrounded by beautiful countryside so our dogs are never short of walks.

Our dogs, Beetle and Frog, had a lovely stay with Amber, and were not nearly as excited to be home as we had anticipated! They had plenty of exercise and spent lots of time galloping around the hay barn, which they would have loved. Amber is very calm, and laid-back, and obviously knows what she's doing, so we felt very comfortable leaving them both with her.
I had the pleasure of having Amber look after my dog, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. Amber's home is warm and welcoming, with an abundance of space for my dog to explore and play. It's evident that she goes above and beyond to ensure that the pets in her care feel comfortable and loved. Her attention to detail and the genuine affection she shows towards animals is truly remarkable. I felt completely at ease leaving my dog in her capable hands, knowing he was in a safe and nurturing environment. Amber is an outstanding caregiver, and I highly recommend her services to anyone seeking top-notch care for their pet. Five stars all the way!
Amber is a lovely, kind, caring person and exceptionally experienced with all types of dog - in fact, with all types of animal! She has owned dogs all her life and regularly has doggie visitors on her beautiful farm in rural Herefordshire. She is lucky enough here to have many acres of hillside at her home to exercise your dog, and even a river running through her land should he/she enjoy a swim in the summer! She has cared for my three dogs on many occasions for many years, and always treats them just as she would her own . Amber is totally trustworthy and I cannot recommend her highly enough!!
Thank you so much to Amber for looking after Hippo so beautifully while we were away. What a wonderful place to send your dog. Fields, space, fantastic walks - doggy heaven! Thank you for everything.

At home I work outside much of the time so dogs can be out with me as I go about my chores or in the house with my husband in the office by the fire, or in the kitchen snuggled up to the rayburn. I do one long walk a day outside of our land, and two or three shorter walks per day around our own land.

I can cater for most types of dogs. Please let me know any likes, dislikes, quirks or needs that your dog has so I can make sure I can cater for those.
A typical day
Depending on the dog I am out and about most of the day on the farm, or the dog can stay indoors by the fire with our old dog who tends to sleep lots these days. Morning walk is followed up by morning chores/mucking out etc when dogs can potter about with me enjoying sniffing about. I can take them down to the river for a swim or play. Long walk tends to be in the afternoon.

I currently work at home or part time locally. If I am out my husband is working from home so there is always someone here for the dogs.
