Hi everyone! So great to meet you! I was born and raised in the Bay Area. I started working as a volunteer in shelters when I was 12 years old walking and feeding the dogs and cats. As time went by I was taught to vaccinate shelter animals and became a foster mom to many litters of puppies and kittens, many of which were required to be bottle fed among other special needs. When I was 16 I started working in a dog and cat boarding kennel where I worked through high school and after taking care of families furry members when they were away on vacation. Over the years I have taken care of many animals for families when they were away including friends, family, and clients iv received on referral and look forward to growing my network through rover and caring for your animals when you need! I currently have 3 dogs of my own, a Great Dane that is 5 years old, 1 year old beagle, and a Pit bull that is 10. My Great Dane has aggression issues, and past dogs have had health conditions including epilepsy, both conditions I am very comfortable working with among other behavior issues or health needs. I also have 13 chickens, 6 ducks, and a flock of quail as well as a huge garden consisting of fruit and vegtables. I almost always have baby chicks in my kitchen every spring to add to my flock. Along with caring for cats and dogs, I am seasoned in caring for fish, chickens, ducks, and other birds. For my flocks I do most of my own medical care in relation to illness or injury as well as vaccination of my birds. I have experience in vaccinating dogs and cats as well and did many vaccines for puppies over Covid closures when families had hard times getting into vets. Outside of animals, caring for plants and gardens is a great passion of mine and would not at all be an issue if your plants needed tending too during my time in your home! Other skills I have acquired in my many years of experience with animals include dealing with dogs with behavior issues, including having my own dogs with their challanges, giving medications, and meeting specific diet requirements or other special needs of the animal. In the past I also spent some time training pets in home on basic obedience, things like sit, stay, etc. I have experience in caring for dogs of every size, personality, and diverse health needs.
