Pet care experience
I am a current vet student at tOSU so to say that I have a love for animals is a bit of an understatement. All throughout my undergraduate studies I working in vet hospitals as a vet assistant and outside of that I would foster animals. Before then I would often watch pets for friends and family members when they went out of town. It was never a chore but something fun that I would look forward to. I have medical experience with working in a general practice and emergency hospital. So when it comes to pet sitting I can be prepared for any personal or medial emergency that may arise. I also have access to the veterinary medical center nearby and all of my roommates/friends are vet students as well. I have experience caring for animals who are recovering from surgery or those who have a chronic disease that need medications and a little extra attention.

Amandine put Toru at ease during our meet and greet, and I knew he would get the best care. Her photos of him were very fun, and a hightlight of my days away from home.

I don't want to share how awesome Amandine is, in case someone else fills her schedule, but...she's awesome. She also takes the BEST dog photos.
She did a great job taking care of my puppy and I could tell from the photos that my puppy loved my time with her. Definitely recommend!

When I care for pets I will usually go at their pace and match the energy they give me. I like to take dogs out at least 4 times per day and at least two of those outings would be longer walks. If you have a fenced in yard and prefer that they stay there I can do that as well! I also like to have moments in the day where we have play time. I will also take into account requests that you may have such as when they need to be fed, medications they may have, any special care they may need and what they can and cannot do in the house.

Availability
I am currently a vet student at the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. I have majority of my classes on Tuesday and Thursday, but I can also attend online via zoom. I have a mandatory in-person class on Wednesday for a couple of hours and my exams are every Monday. I enjoy pet sitting because it allows me to attend my classes, but then I can also relax and stay with pets while I study. In the past I have stayed at the client’s house and only left for a few hours out of the day to go run errands.
