Hi! I am Amanda, and I work photo editing for the Chicago Tribune and online content for Bloomberg, but have a penchant for befriending dogs, and a history of professional animal handeling and education! I treat your pups like they’re at home. Please, make sure they get along with cats and/or will be willing to meet my boys! (Who love dogs!) I require flea and tick control as well as shots. I live in Boystown, and am skilled in giving medications, and accommodating some disabilities. I've had and raised dogs all my life, and worked as a tech/adoption counselor for the Humane Society in southern Illinois, and the city of St. Louis as well as the Anti-Creulty Society here in Chicago. Amanda was the best!! My dog got sick two days before Amanda was supposed to watch him for the first time and I wasn’t sure if I would even be able to go on my trip. I gave her a heads up and she messaged me multiple times to check on Eddie and see how he was doing. When he started feeling better she was more than willing to still watch him and administer the meds he was put on. Amanda is an amazing communicator and she made sure Eddie was happy and comfortable, even when he wasn’t feeling his best. She also has two very sweet cats to keep him company! :)
Amanda was great with our old dog Cosmo! She was extremely accommodating even when our plane kept getting delayed! She sent awesome updates and pictures the whole stay. Cosmo had a great time with her and her kitties! I would recommend her to anyone!

I couldn't have been more pleased with my dog's stay with Amanda. He's a needy little guy: separation anxiety, recurring stomach problems, regular medications, etc. But Amanda made me feel perfectly safe leaving my dog with her. When I dropped him off, her place was clean. She asked questions about his care, and took the time to listen to my (probably too detailed) instructions. During the 4 nights we were away, Amanda communicated regularly and sent us lots of pictures of our pup enjoying himself. And when we had flight issues on the way home, Amanda was extremely flexible and accommodating. We'll definitely be getting in touch with her again the next time we're out of town.
