Safety is my number one priority when caring for pets, including walking the dogs on their proper leads and crating them up as needed. I am a project manager with some flexibility in the work day to stop by when it’s convenient with your dog’s schedule. When taking care of your pet, I make an effort to establish trust first and foremost. This is important for many reasons, but primarily to provide the closest experience to having their owner around as possible. Dogs react best to smells they recognize! For this reason, I do not take same-day booking for new clients. Drop-Ins: I will need to know how to enter (key/lockbox/code). Please provide photos if we don’t meet prior to the visit. Please include where food is and how much to feed if this visit is during feed time. House Sitting: I accommodate what the owners needs are for the pet. This also comes with plant care, mail, or light errands within West Seattle. I want to make sure your pets are well cared for while you’re away. When taking care of a pet in their home environment, I prioritize their safety and comfort with having a stranger in the home. To me, it’s important that I don’t behave in way that makes them feel like I am a threat or put them in an uncomfortable situation. I like to make sure I follow their usual routine as well as tidy and pick up after them as necessary. As for the security of your household, I follow the ‘no guests rule’ unless mentioned otherwise. I thoroughly believe in preserving and respecting the privacy of those who welcome me into their home. Therefore, I make sure that you feel confident knowing that I am watching over your home with just as much care as you would. I believe the best care is in clients homes. Your pets are more comfortable being in their own environment. It’s easier for me to adjust to their domain.
