Pet care experience
I have had dogs since I was a little girl. I whole heartedly believe that they proved more to us than we do to them with their unconditional love they give us. It is my goal in life to provide all animals love and safety. I have taken care of pets who’s families I work with. I have also personally had a dog who needed daily injections of insulin for diabetes. I know how to administer oral medication and I have been through animal first aid and CPR. Although my certification is not up to date I am in the process of looking for a place near me to get certified.
Reviews
Amanda was wonderful to work with! Our trip ended up being extended because of an ice storm that canceled all of the flights for days. She was so willing to help us out and stay with our pets until we could come home.
Amanda was great! We met before so she could meet the pups and go over their habits. She was quick and easy to communicate with prior to booking and throughout the stay. I found her flexible with the schedule and will definitely be interested in booking again!
Amanda was great, dependable and on time. My Labrador loved having her come over to walk him. We will definitely call her again.
Amanda took such good care of Cocoa while I was gone working! She sent me updates and photos the whole time. Definitely recommend!

I have a fenced in backyard that is more than enough room for the 4 dogs I have. They are friendly but I understand if someone wants to keep their pets separate. Each dog had their own individual kennel. All 4 dogs aren’t left outside unsupervised. We usually are out there cleaning up the yard and playing fetch. Whether the client wants to have their pet stay in my own or vice versa I will respect the wishes of the client in how they want their pet to be taken care of. I understand the stress of uncertainty when you have a stranger take care of your baby and I will give that person however many updates they want to ensure that their time away is relaxing as far as knowing that their pet is safe.
Information Amanda S. would like to know about your pet
If the dog has certain mannerisms for certain things it’s best to list them out for me that way me or the pet are frazzled and it can be a smooth transition. I just want to be sure to make the pet as comfortable as I can when meeting a new person who they have to depend on taking care of them. It can put a lot of stress on the animal.
A typical day
Our neighborhood is fairly small so we take regular walks in the evenings since it’s so hot. If it’s a pet that I’m house sitting for or dropping in on I typically map out the area we would walk through and ask the pet parents where they’d prefer me to walk. If that’s not an option we will play outside in the backyard if they have one.

Availability
I have a full time job in the military however my job is very flexible if I need to leave. When my partner or I get up in the mornings my dogs go outside and I feed them and they have about an hour of play time. I do have an hour and a half for lunch so if need be I can take pets out for some exercise. When I get home from work they again go out and depending on the weather will depend on how much outside time they have. All of my pets are indoor animals.
