I’ve worked professionally in the pet care field for over two years. I started at a dog board and train facility as a kennel technician. My responsibilities included caring for up to 40 dogs with minimal supervision, feeding, medicating, supervising group play, and cleaning up after. I worked closely with the head trainer and within a year became an assistant trainer. I also have experience as a vet assistant at a family owned veterinary clinic for household pets (dogs, cats, guinea pigs, birds, etc.). I learned a lot about common injuries, illnesses, symptoms and treatments. As of recent, I’m Pet CPR & First Aid Certified. I obtained this through my current position as Animal Welfare Supervisor at a luxury dog and cat boarding facility. I’ve been working there for three months since I moved from New York. I ensure up to 200 dogs and cats’ safety and well being during their stay at our facility. I feed and medicate all of the boarding animals so I interact with every single one on a daily basis. I also manage a staff of about 10 people per shift and report directly to management. I have strong dog and cat behavior knowledge. I’m comfortable with all breeds, sizes and temperaments. I’m responsible, reliable and compassionate. I know how to not only meet but exceed an animal’s needs. I promise the BEST care for your furry family member while you’re away. With your approval, your companion may even come to work with me to enjoy all of the pet resort’s amentities like swimming in our bone shaped pool! But of course, they’re also more than welcome to relax on my comfy couch at home. I would love to pet sit because although I interact with animals all day long, my time with each one is in short increments. I don’t get to spend a ton of one on one time with one furry friend (except my own, Maya). I would the opportunity to bond, play and snuggle with your fur baby! My favorite part of my job is meeting and getting to know so many wonderful pets and I can’t wait for your’s to join my friends and family pack too!
