I have a 2 yr old 40 lb lab/mix with tons of energy so I know how important a good, long walk is! I used to volunteer for Shar Pei Rescue of Virginia where I helped foster Shar Pei dogs of all ages with all types of backgrounds. But, my duties extended further than just bare-minimum housing care! I taught each dog basic obedience and most of the dogs we fostered had to have surgery for many things such as entropian or just a spay/neuter. So, caring for these dogs pre- and post-surgery helped me gain a lot of experience of how to cater to their needs. After I moved away to college, I volunteered at the Humane Society on weekends socializing dogs and cats. My availability includes week days from 7am until 2pm.
