Pet care experience
I grew up around lots of different dogs (all sizes, ages, and breeds), owned lots of different pets (cats, dogs, hamsters, guinea pigs, ferrets, hedgehogs, etc), and spent some time during my teenage years volunteering at animal shelters. I've been taking care of animals since the age of 4 years old and I can't remember a time where I ever lived without a pet in the home. I currently own a 12 yr old Beagle-Hound Mix named Tucker who is a rescue. Tucker is from an abusive home so I do have experience with dogs who are fearful. I have experience in training puppies/dogs, dealing with animals that are fearful or high anxiety, and taking care of puppies and seniors.

Very pleased with the entire process. Our pup, Roxie, was well taken care of--looked happy to see us (and yet I think she still misses Amanda). Would absolutely book Amanda again.
As per usual Amanda was amazing! My pups truly love her! I am crazy about my pups so I can't tell you how amazing it is to know that I can go away and not worry about them! I would recommend her wholeheartedly!! Unless of course it's on a weekend that I am going to be gone!!! :) I appreciate her so much!!

Each pet is unique so I like to have a conversation with you about their needs. There are some high anxiety dogs who don't or can't be left alone for long periods of time. Or your dog may just need someone to drop in and say "hey!" I do typically send 2 photos per day (sometimes more), along with a check in for House Sitting jobs.

I would like to know if your pet has any special needs or weird quirks (i.e. they grab a shoe to carry around when someone walks through the door or they get very anxious after 4 hours alone). It's also important to know if there are any boundaries, like the dog can't be on the furniture.
A typical day
I like to evaluate the dogs personal energy level and, depending on what it is, would depend on what we do together. Some dogs prefer to be chill - they just want someone to spend time with or go on a car ride for a pup-a-cino. Other dogs are a little more high energy and want to go on a 3 mile walk or maybe a hike! Then there are the working breeds that need to have a puzzle to solve or want to play hide and seek to keep them properly stimulated.

Availability
I have a full time job that offers some flexibility in allowing me to work from home for a few hours a day. There may be days that I have meetings that I cannot rearrange. I also typically work out Monday through Saturday.
