I am an avid dog lover currently estranged from my family dog as I moved out of state for graduate school. I have had dogs my whole life and am passionate about the human-animal bond, even going so far as to take classes on animal-assisted therapy. Once I am licensed, I will be able to write pet prescriptions and plan to have my own therapy dog. Once I finish graduate school, I will be a dog mom myself, but until then, I plan to help out dogs (and their humans) in my community. Since moving to Colorado, I have been spending as much time with my friends who own dogs as possible, but as I have no income while I'm in school full time, getting my own dog has not been an option. Additionally, there are some days where I cannot be home for 13+ hours, and I feel it would not be right for me to have my own when I cannot afford my own sitter. As such, I directing my love of pups into a more appropriate venture where I can design my hours (which I can anticipate very far in advance) and devote all my love (but not my grocery money) to other people's wonderful pooches.
