My work schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 6pm -1am. I will not be at your house during this time. I always communicate when I am coming and going and will make sure your baby has everything they need before I leave and when I arrive! The long story: I was 13 when I first started pet sitting for animals in my neighborhood and I have made it a lifelong passion. I have experience caring for more than just cats and dogs! I've cared for birds, iguanas, snakes, horses, goats, guinea pigs, and even ferrets! I share my life with my wonderful husband, a beautiful siamese calico cat, and a goofy golden retriever. My philosophy on animal care: 1. Animals are family - caring for your pet is the same a caring for a precious member of your family. I don’t take that responsibility lightly. 2. A trained furbaby is a happy furbaby. I trained my pup from when she was 3 months old so I know how important it is to stick to a training regimen. You can count on me to follow your instructions with precision and care! 3. Safety first - in any given situation when I am caring for your pet, I will always prioritize their safety and err on the side of caution.

Can’t say enough good things. Amanda is great with our senior boy and he is always so happy to see her. Our neighbor made a comment the other day that Jet always looks so excited and happy on his walks with her!

Amanda provided super care to our sheltie while we were away. Through her photos and videos we could see the variety of activities she engaged in with our pup. Because of this we came home to a happy pup. We would certainly trust Amanda to care for our pup again.
Hendrix had a wonderful walk with Amanda! She was communicative, timely and he connected with her immediately!

Meet & Greet- After you book with me, one of the first things I will ask about is a time for me to come to get to know your pet as well as any words/commands that are familiar to them so I can speak to them in the language they understand best. It is important for my safety and the safety of the animal that we are able to communicate. I am also open to using treats, toys, and any other sort of praise to help us both have the best experience possible! Routines - your routines are my routines! I want to know what your pet is used to. I have no problem modifying my own routines to meet the needs of your furbaby! Emergency Contacts - I will always make it my business to know the nearest pet ER to your home and any veterinary info you can provide is also really helpful. Constant care: if you are booking me for house sitting and would like me to be able there 24/7, please mention that in your booking request.

I am a teacher at heart. I spent the last 10 years working in education and I also have a love for training animals. I’d be happy to continue any training you are already doing or play some fun training games with your dog to help stimulate their mind!

Availability
My ideal client is someone who wants their pet cared for in their home and may even have some reservations about letting someone care for their pets. I empathize with how nerve wracking it can be to leave our furbabies in the care of a stranger, and I am prepared to go above and beyond to make you and your loved one feel as comfortable as possible. Even though I work nights, I will adapt to your pet’s daytime schedule. If your pet has a routine they are used to, please communicate that to me! Your pet is my priority when they are in my care.
