Making stress-free travel paw-sible

Pet care experience

As of October 2019, I am only accepting repeat and referred clients. If you have been referred and are unable to request my services, please reach out to the client who referred you for my contact information. Thank you for your patience. Hi, I'm Amanda! The approach I take to petsitting is putting the priority on making you and your pet(s) as comfortable, safe, and happy as possible. It's important to me that you're able to enjoy your vacation without worrying if your pet is being well taken care of. I typically send photos 3x a day (morning, afternoon, evening) but can do more or less if you prefer. Rest assured that, with me, your dogs and/or cats will be well-loved and doted upon. Whether you're going away for the first time or are a veteran traveler, I am here to accommodate your family to the best of my ability. I am also independently insured through Pet Sitters Associates which protects your pet, home, and property as much as it protects me. I have been dogsitting with Rover since the summer of 2018. I grew up with beaucerons and a German Shepherd from puppyhood to old age, and my first dog as an adult was a 14-year-old papillion, so I have experience with a range of sizes and ages.

Amanda was amazing with my aging dog. She paid attention to his needs and sent us many pictures. I hope to have stay again in the future.

Amanda has been cat-sitting our two boys for us for about a year now. Both of our cats are fairly high maintenance and she is so great with them. She keeps us up to date on whatever may be going with them. Knowing that Amanda will drop in and check on them while we are on vacation brings peace of mind. Amanda is truly the best cat sitter that we’ve ever had!!

Safety, trust & environment

I would also like to know of any medical or behavioral issues (i.e., asthma; leash aggression) or allergies so I can anticipate it. I also require two emergency contacts, with one being a neighbor if possible. Please also let me know about anything about your house to keep an eye out for, such as gardeners leaving the gate open or the front door sticking. I received hands-on pet first aid and CPR certification in April 2019.

Information Amanda P. would like to know about your pet

Please provide me with details about mealtimes, potty times, and walk schedules so I can keep them as close to their normal routine as possible.

A typical day

We'll read aloud together, share secrets, snuggle, play with toys, and more! I try to stick to their normal schedule as much as possible to ease any anxieties. For longer stays, I love baking dog biscuits with your pups (with your consent).
