We really wanted it to work with Amanda but unfortunately she messaged us 24 hours into our trip out of state saying she no longer wanted to watch our dog. He ended up getting transferred to another sitter thanks to a wonderful rover assistance program, but it made our vacation extremely stressful and put unnecessary stress on our pet. We have never had any issues with other sitters and have used rover for our dog multiple times. Amanda said she struggled getting him to go potty outside the first night and didn’t give him a chance to settle in. Next she texted us because her neighbors were complaining at his barking but we came to find that her apartment does not allow pets unless the renter is paying a pet fee under their lease, which Amanda was NOT. Do not leave your pet with her if you are worried about having to re-home your pet mid vacation. The rover sitter he was transferred to said “I don’t know what happened with the first sitter but we had absolutely no issues with him”. Really unfortunate experience and we would not recommend her as a sitter as she really struggled with our dog, even with all of the instructions and information we left her with.

She was great!! Sent me updates and pictures! Our dog was well cared for!
