Pet care experience

Loves ALL dogs

I truly love all dogs. That includes low-maintenance pups but also higher-needs dogs! I'm comfortable with large and XL breeds, senior dogs, dogs that require medical care, and dogs with behavioral challenges. I'm highly communicative, compassionate, and very attuned to pet parents' needs as well as the needs of their pets. I firmly believe that dog care should relieve your stress, not add to it! I recently had to say goodbye to my own amazing, 80-pound pitbull. I trained him myself, then took care of him as he aged--meds, dog diapers, and all. I will extend the same thoughtful, gentle, extra-mile care to your dog. I'm also a poet and a Harvard graduate :)

Safety, trust & environment

Every dog is different, so I believe the most important thing is to carefully follow pet parents' instructions. I'll strive to care for your dog the way you care for them yourself, including maintaining the dog's familiar routine. I will ask you plenty of questions if anything is unclear, and I'll make sure we're set up for success on every visit.

Honestly the best dog care I’ve had in the city. Amanda is amazing with high-needs dogs, she had a positive energy and expertise that puts both dog and owner at ease. Punctual and great with communication. Hand her the leash and never look back !

Amanda is a natural born care giver. She grew up in a home with one dog, one cat and three horses. In her own home she has rescued and trained a lovable 80 lb pitbull. Her empathy, care and willingness to do whatever it takes to make an animal comfortable, healthy and wise (walk, talk to, administer meds and treatments) has been demonstrated unfailingly. She is a reliable and sympathetic. Highly recommended!

Amanda is an exceptional dog walker and caretaker. She has cared for and trained very challenging dogs, always providing gentle positive reinforcement and making sure the dog is safe and comfortable. She is also an excellent communicator--she is a dog person but also a people person. I would easily trust her with any pet.

Amanda is the only person I trust to walk my dog! She's easy to work with and my dog adores her. It can be so hard to find a reliable, consistent dog walker in this city and I'm so grateful to have found Amanda.
