Hi! My name is Amanda and I LOVE DOGS! I became a pet sitter due to my love of animals and the desire to set my own schedule so I could spend more time with my pups than behind a desk. I also understand how hard it is to find a good sitter who can care for your pets just like you do. I want to be that person for you! I was lucky enough to grow up with a mother who not only bred and showed dogs, but one who also instilled in me a deep love and passion for the four-legged furballs! I have had dogs all my life and currently have a Puggle and a Staffordshire Terrier. They are my whole world and as my fiancé says, they live and eat better than he and I do. I care for and love my dogs like they are actual children, and I promise I will do the same for your pups! My number one priority with dogs is safety, whether they are my own or someone else's. I believe whole heartedly that dogs are just as much part of the family as people are, therefore my dogs are always supervised just as I do with my child. If it's too hot or cold outside for me then it's too hot or cold outside for them! During the winter I bundle my boys up in a coat and scarf and during the summer I put on their cooling/bug repellant collars. I pay very close attention to their body language as well. My Puggle, Santana, can't stand the heat as well or as long as my Pitbull, Jax, can so as soon as he starts panting, we go inside. When I take my dogs outside though, we play! Whether it's tag, fetch, soccer or in the pool, we play the whole time and we always have so much fun! I also would like to note that when my boys go for car rides, they always ride in the backseat, in their harness which is attached to a belt that connects to the seatbelt for maximum safety. Should I be granted permission to take your dog in the car with me to places like the dog park, for a hike around a lake or even a little trip to PetSmart, I'd be happy to use my own seatbelt connector, should your dog have his/her own harness.
