Experienced Vet Tech & Farm Sitter
Pet care experience
I've been lucky enough to enjoy the companionship of animals my entire life. I also have 11 years of experience working as a vet tech in companion animal veterinary hospitals, and frequently at equine facilities as well. Many of those years I spent employed at combination hospital/boarding facilities. I know what it is like to be profoundly attached to your pets. My horse and dogs are my family. I'm very familiar with the stress that comes anytime I have to entrust their care to someone else. I care for my clients' pets as if they're my own, and I provide the level of attention I expect my own pets to receive.
Reviews
Amanda was the perfect person to watch Jasper for us. She connected with Jasper immediately and made him feel welcome in her home. Each day she also sent photos of him showing what fun he was having playing frisbee and going on hikes. We plan to ask Amanda to watch Jasper in the future and know we've found the perfect vacation home for him while we're away.
Amanda is a fantastic pet sitter. She takes care of my pups like they’re her own. My dogs can be a handful and Amanda takes it in stride.
Amanda M. is most definitely an animal lover with a big heart and lots of experience as she has her own dogs and is a vet tech. She has helped to rescue and relocate dogs into good homes, even going so far as to buy them out of a bad situation to place them where they will be loved. She has helped many with pet travel and always helps out if we have an issue with our Bassets. She has taken care of our dogs at our home and also at her home. I never worry because I know she will take excellent care of them. My dogs get so excited when they see her. That's a seal of approval for me! I highly recommend Amanda M.

Information Amanda M. would like to know about your pet
I expect a list of emergency contacts, as well as thorough instructions so that I can provide the best care for your pet in any circumstance. Please inform me in advance about any behavioral issues, fears, tendencies to bark/whine, etc. Your furbaby must be fully vaccinated and currently on flea/tick prevention. *If your furry friend is not crate trained or has special needs, please disclose that information in your initial inquiry so we can discuss options and decide if my home can be adjusted to accommodate. I will do everything I can to make sure your pet has a safe and comfortable stay.

Availability
I work from home as a veterinary hospice care coordinator. Due to the sensitive nature of my work, it is very important that pets in my home are comfortable and quiet while I'm working. For this reason, I am not able to host anxious or very vocal dogs. I work 2 PM - 11 PM, with multiple opportunities for potty breaks and walks. On my work days, pet drop-off and pick-ups will be scheduled a 30 minute window between the hours of 10 AM to 1 PM. Please contact me to inquire if my schedule can accommodate your pet(s) during their specific times of need.
