Pet care experience
I've had dogs for many years, I am experienced with puppies two months old to seniors. I am experienced with training dogs, I am not certified as a trainer, but positive reinforcement and encouragement are my tools. I have dog-sat for a friend repeatedly over the years. This included staying with the dog in her home, walking the dog in the mornings and evenings, feeding and general care needs, along with providing companionship for the dog. I also have two dogs, both dog-friendly (shots up to date and currently no health issues) should you wish to have your dog socialized. I do work a full-time job with a rotating schedule, I would work best for someone who needs their dog(s) walked or sat with a set schedule or prior notice so my other job wouldn't become an issue. Depending on the day requested, I can be available during any time during the day. On days I work my main job, times would need to be set up around my schedule.

Amanda is a dream dog sitter! My fur buddy makes friends easily but always has a bit of a trust issue when it comes to a sitter not being his "Dad" or "Mom" or any other member of his extended pack. Upon his first meeting with Amanda he kind of adopted her as one of his own! Her gentle but firm way of sitting and dealing with my dog cemented her into his pack and every time he sees her he actually can;t stop wagging his tail! My dog has problems with storms and she even sat up with him in the middle of the night until one passed! I definitely give her two paws up and a tail wag for her work with my buddy!
Amanda has covered for me multiple times and taken care of my beloved Soemi. She has dog sat for me for a period of two weeks while I was on vacation multiple times, as well as covering for weekend trips. During the two week vacations she stayed at my house with my older (10 year old) German Shepherd lab mix. She ensured that he had walks, play time and company. She even sent me pictures of him sitting next to her on the couch (he's a love bug). The quality of time that she spent with him is evidenced with the joy with which Soemi greats here when she comes over. She is reliable, consistent and trustworthy. During one of her dog sitting stints a skunk had apparently wandered into the yard during the middle of the night, when she let him out for to pee he got skunked. So at 3am she was at walgreens buying baking soda, peroxide and dawn in order to wash the dog and clean the floors. That is the sort of dedication to duty and care of your beloved dog that you can expect from Amanda.
Amanda is one of the sweetest people I know. She took care of my two beautiful pups when I had a last minute family emergency. I've recommended her to three off my friends and they loved the way she cared for and handled their dogs. Just a very caring and professional girl!
