Your Pet’s Home Away from Home

Pet care experience

There have been very few times in my life that I haven’t had a pet (cat, dog, and sometimes both). When your pet is here, they are a member of the family, and as such will be well taken care of and loved on. I truly want them to feel like this is their home away from home.

Amanda was great. Easy to work with and kept me informed and sent me pictures. She also asked questions instead of just winging it.

Amanda loves animals and has a special love for doggies! It’s been her dream to be able to help those around her with dog sitting needs so give her a call today! She loves my dogs and they cannot wait to see her again real soon!

When your baby is here they are family. At this time, we are currently looking for our next family member ourselves, but for now your babies will get all of my attention to themselves. I try to keep a schedule for feeding and walks so that everyone knows what is going on and this also provides security for your pup. I don’t have a fenced yard but we have lots of walkways and trails, as well as being very close to a park with a large field to romp and play. I do have the ability to crate your small pups as well as a 4x4’ play yard that can be set up for others. If your baby had rather be able to roam, they are more than welcome to make themselves at home. If your pup has a schedule you want followed or has medical/special needs, please let me know ahead of time so that I can try to make the best arrangements for them. My children are 4 (almost 5) and 7. They have experience with puppies, cats, dogs ( from 4lbs to 70lbs). They are kind and gentle with animals, and love to be involved in all aspects of having a pet around. They also love interacting and playing with them! If you want your pup to be treated with kindness, care, and tons of love and cuddles, I would be so very happy to make them honorary family members for the duration of their stay.

Information Amanda L. would like to know about your pet

If your dog requires medication or has special needs, I will need a written schedule of what accommodations or medication your pup needs. I do not believe that any breed is necessarily “aggressive”; however, if your pup has aggressive tendencies such as food or toy guarding, tends to eat other pups food if not crated or sent to another room, does not do well with others, for example, bigger dogs, males/females, cats, men, children, etc, I need to know upfront prior to taking you on as a client. Some issues can definitely be accommodated while others may be an issue for safety reasons for all involved.

A typical day

We definitely play some games, do some cuddling, go for walks and explore the different sights, sounds, and smells of the neighborhood. I love giving treats they have to figure out how to get so puzzles will be a part of their day. Due to my physical limitations, I am not able to take long walks, but I can go on short ones with my walker for balance. I can work on commands that you are working on at home and help provide mental stimulation to any pup. I may have some physical limitations but I make up for it with love and care for your fur baby.

Most days I am home all day. If I am away it is typically no more than 2-3hours for doctors appointments. To be totally transparent, I have some medical issues that have unfortunately caused me to be disabled. Helping to love on your pup while you are away not only helps you, provides a loving home environment for your fur baby, but also helps me as well. By taking care of them, they help me keep my mind and body moving and I am truly grateful for that.
