Pet care experience
Greetings! I'm a Massachusetts girl who relocated to Ohio a few years ago for my partner's work. I'm looking forward to becoming acquainted with new pet friends and pet owners! I have 17+ years of experience dog-sitting and caring for dogs of my friends and family. I started house sitting/dog sitting shortly after college as a side job and found that I really loved doing it! I have continued to dog sit on and off over the years, and have built up a wonderful clientele, both in Massachusetts and now locally in Ohio. I joined Rover in January of 2019 so I have over 4 years of experience of pet sitting through the Rover site. Please feel free to get in touch for more information! I would love to meet you and your dog!

Amanda is amazing... seriously! I honestly can’t rave enough about how she cared for our boys while we were at our destination wedding. Our older furry pup couldn’t travel anymore and as much as it broke my heart leaving them, I knew he was in good hands. Amanda kept us updated and full of pictures, her communication was outstanding! She is amazing and will take care of your pups like your own! I think our house was cleaner than we left it!! Lol Amanda is amazing and we can’t wait to see her again!
Always good with Amanda. Penny is calm and relaxed with Amanda.
Amanda was wonderful with Penny. Lot of walks and even took her to the park to walk the trails. I would definitely hire her again.
Excellent overnight…lots of status and pictures…many thinks

As a long-time professional dog-sitter and house-sitter, I can care for your pet in your home as if both your pet and your home are my very own. I'm very attentive to detail and instructions, and you can trust me to keep your dog safe during my stay with them. Even with a fenced-in yard, I will keep a watchful eye at all times, and you be rest assured that your pet will not be left at home for long periods of time. Since I work remotely, I'm often with your dog 24/7. I also often hear from clients that I live their home spotless and just as it was found! In addition to sitting, I can also check your mail, water your plants, and keep watch over your home. I prefer dog sitting, as that is my area of expertise, but I've cared for cats in the past along with dogs and would be more than happy to clean litter/feed cats if they are in the home as well.
Information Amanda L. would like to know about your pet
I always like to get a feel for a pet's daily routine, so that I can stick to it as much as possible while you're away. I like to know their walk/potty, feeding, sleep and medication schedule, as well as any other important details about their personality and habits you think I might need to know. I prefer to schedule a meet and greet in advance of any stay to get to know you, your pet, and your home better. In addition to the meet and greet, I usually recommend clients send me an email with all of the instructions in as much detail as possible, as this is a good way to stick to the dog's routine. My goal is to make your dog happy while you're away by providing little change in their typical day-to-day.
A typical day
Because I work remotely, during the work-week (Monday-Friday) I like to start the morning with breakfast and a nice brisk walk before settling into my work day, right by your dog's side. I can typically take short breaks throughout the day for potty breaks, playtime, and snack time, etc., but I always try to take a longer lunch break around noon to accommodate another (sometimes shorter) walk. After work hours, I like to go for a longer walk and then settle in for playtime and cuddles! During the weekends, my schedule is as flexible as it needs to be, and I typically like to explore nearby dog-friendly areas and trails with my pup friends.

I do work full-time for a recruiting firm, but because I work completely remotely, I'm able to be at home during the day to keep your dog company. My rate is such because I can provide round-the-clock attention and care, essentially "move in" for the time needed, and am able to stick to your pet's walk and meal schedule as much as possible. I'm also a dog mom of two young pugs, who could join me for dog sitting or not, depending on your preference. I love to have them with me (at least during the work day) if your dog/dogs are friendly and like to play! My dogs are very social. If not, they can certainly be left at my home.
