Pet care experience
I have always had a strong love for dogs. I have cared for my own dog since I was 12 years old, going on ten years now! I have also dog sat (numerous walks, feeding, and gave medication) for my neighbors, and worked as a professional dog walker for two summers in college. I have also cared for two cats of a family friend, and love to care for all animals.

Amanda is incredibly kind. She loves animals and is very patient and caring. She is always thoughtful when it comes to her work and relationships. I have a very shy pet rabbit that she has been so patient with. My rabbit will now eat out of her hand and approach her directly without being afraid.

At my own home, I have a fenced in yard for my dog and know how to work most latches. I know how diligent one must be while letting a dog freely roam in a fenced in yard. I have also worked with invisible fence collars before, and my dog is crate-trained so I also have experience with that. I have also given medications to both my own dog and other clients as well, so I can do that if necessary.

I love playing with dogs and just hanging out with them in general! Lots of fetch, running around outside, trail walks, and belly rubs of course!

I am going to be a graduate student at UVA in fall and work a remote job, so I will be available during most times over the summer! I am good with flexible times and can work early mornings and afternoon / lunch shifts :)
