My name is Amanda and I am am definitely a dog lover. I grew up always having a dog and I've been the main one in my family of 5 to run around, play, and care for our dogs. My family and I have cared for all of our dogs up until their old age sadly sent them to doggy heaven. My most recent Alaskan Husky, Buster, was most certainly a love of my life. We adopted him as a small pup only a few months old and he lived a long 16 years. Even through his times of sickness, he continued to be such a bright beam o light in my life. So much so, that I would com home from college on the weekends just to care for him. I really believe that dogs are family members because I have felt the special bond and meaning they bring to our lives first hand. I love being around dogs (and I think they like me too) which has led me to participate in this service. Caring for your pets would be an honor and also SO MUCH FUN!
