Pet care experience
Hello! I'm a life long dog, horse and cat owner and also help with cattle and other farm animals. I've trained countless dogs including training service dogs for veterans with PTSD. I have apprenticed as a falconer and even worked with otters! I also have owned and cared for rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters and mice.
Reviews
Amanda was brilliant with Lottie! She’s an older dog who needs some extra support and Amanda was really patient and calm with her as well as flexible to adapting to her needs and making sure she was happy. Communication was great and it was lovely to have regular photos and updates from her. We’ll definitely be booking again ?
Amanda is an absolute dream! From the moment we met her/she met River, we felt so comfortable and new that River would be in really safe/experienced hands. River is a 6 month old GSP and so can be a bit of a handful at times, but Amanda's calm and patient approach helped to settle him whilst we were out of the house. Thank you Amanda, we hope that we can book you again soon!
Great dog walker very happy
Amanda has been great - friendly and reliable, and very dog-centred. Our Labrador adored her and went off with her very happily.

Safety, trust & environment
I'm a meticulous observer of animals, priding myself in being able to tell when something is off, anticipating and managing behavior, and generally being skilled and practiced at noticing what needs done and making sure it happens. I'm relaxed and happy around all sorts. I have no sense of ego around how to do things, so very happy to slot into whatever routine is established and works.
Information Amanda L. would like to know about your pet
General temperament and behavior is good to know as well as any known likes or very strong dislikes including behaviors that might warrant additional caution. Medical limitations or worries are good to know. I also like to know what you do to reward your pet, including premium rewards (favorite treats, games, attention etc.)
A typical day
I love to go for walk and explore any pocket parks or green spaces we might find...always striving to leave places a little bit better than we find them. I do love training, so if there is a trick or a behavior you would like encouraged or practiced it's always fun create a bond by rewarding clever behavior. Cuddles are loads of fun, as well as playing games like catch or chase or find.

I'm currently retired so have no restrictions on my time or daily schedule. I enjoy going for walks and getting out of the house every day. Animals thrive on routine and fairness around expectations, which I strive to provide. I'm not the sort that needs things done my way, so always looking for what works for the owners and the animals and try to slot into that as seamlessly as possible. I have a lot of experience from everything from pocket pets to farm animals, so let me know what needs doing and I'm sure we can figure it out!
